Introductory remark by Roberta METSOLA, EP President on the Charlemagne Youth Prize

SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, Dear colleagues, every year for the past 15 years, the European Parliament and the International Charlemagne Prize Foundation Charlemagne Prize Foundation of Aachen have jointly awarded the European Charlemagne Youth Prize to youth led projects supporting democracy and promoting cooperation in Europe.

SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, 'This year, the first place prize went to alum from Belgium, a language app tailored for refugees and developed in consultation with them. Two projects took joint-second place the European Correspondant from the Netherlands and the Mobile Climate Museum from Lithuania.
