Hate speech, populism, and fake news on social media – towards an EU response: extracts from the debate

During the EP plenary session (3-6 April 2017) in Strasbourg, MEPs discuss how the EU can better respond to these phenomena of hate speech, populism, and fake news on social media, so as to prevent interference in the democratic process and particularly in elections.
