WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR KEY MOMENT  IN THIS PARLIAMENTARY TERM?

To me, the key moment  in my term of office

in the regulation to safeguard  security of gas supply.

We managed to pass it  after the first reading

and created a European  solidarity mechanism

for both infrastructures and emergencies

WHAT WAS THE MOST  CHALLENGING MOMENT FOR YOU?

My biggest challenge in this term of office

was the reconciliation  of external financial instruments,

in particular  for banana-producing countries.

Six EP delegation meetings, 9 trialogues  and final approval in the plenary

by a very narrow margin.  Not for the faint of heart.

WHY SHOULD PEOPLE VOTE  IN THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS?

Over 70% of national laws  are an implementation of European laws.

That is the main reason  why Europeans should vote.

If they knew, they would,  so we must try and let them know.
