The Pournara Emergency Reception Centre for asylum seekers is located outside Kokkinotrimithia, on the edge of the capital Nicosia, in Cyprus. It is a special zone dedicated to fragile women, unaccompanied minors, women and children. According to Cypriot authorites, in the first half of 2022, 12,000 asylum seekers arrived in the southern part of the island.
