SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, I am very delighted to be here to inaugurate this new space dedicated to our citizens. This Europa Experience here in Warsaw serves as a reminder that the European Union's main purpose is to serve its people, to inform, to listen, to explain. Poland will soon mark 20 years of European Union membership, and how those 20 years have passed and have been. These years have been transformative for Poland and for Europe. They have given new impetus for businesses, for employment, for academia. They have seen new ties being forged between people and new opportunities come their way.

It has meant more protection for people's rights, for social justice and the rule of law. An EU enlargement has been a win-win for all. And now that we have begun EU accession talks with Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, I would like to thank Poland and its people.

SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, To all of you, I invite you to avail yourselves of the opportunities that Europe offers. Avail yourselves of open EU rights and freedoms. Don't take Europe for granted. Convince as many people as you can to take part in Europe, and to vote in the European elections, and tell your friends to drop by this Europa experience if they still need convincing, and I know there are people who do, that Europe matters for our freedom and for our prosperity. Thank you.

SOUNDBITE (English), Rafał TRZASKOWSKI, Mayor of Warsaw, We are going to push the European agenda forward. So we are going to take care that the Polish interests and European interests coincide. And of course, that is why it is so wonderful to have the the President of the European Parliament here in Warsaw, in order to talk about the agenda that is before us because of course, there is a lot of positive things that we can do. We cannot resolve any of the challenges that there are before us without our cooperation and without the operation within the European Union. When you talk about the Green Deal and fight with the global warming, when we talk about, tackling migration, when we talk about new jobs, when we talk about competitiveness. We cannot do it without each other. We cannot do it if we do not collaborate together.

SOUNDBITE (Polish), Ewa KOPACZ, EP Vice-President, There was a time when dreams of Europe were that we wanted a Europe free of war. And now this is very topical because there is a war raging across the eastern border. We want a united Europe and not a Europe which is divided. We want a Europe where solidarity will be the dominating principle as well as cooperation and respect. And I think that these dreams, even those they were expressed so many years ago, remain valid today. And every young person could subscribe to these dreams. And I'm sure, I'm convinced, that we are passing on Europe and the future of Europe to the new generation of those, who are your grandparents and your parents today will look at you and see whether you're up to the challenge. I believe you are. I believe in you. I believe in Europe. I believe in the young generation. And I am convinced, that the June 9th election will also be a responsible decision on your part.
