SOUNDBITE (English), Gwendoline DELBOS-CORFIELD (Greens/EFA, FR), Head of the delegation, <p>We are an official mission of the European Parliament to visit Hungary. You have members of all the seven political groups of the EP, we are also from different countries, and this is Europe. We are here to work on democracy and rule of law topics. There had been no such mission since 2011. It was time to comeback. This sort of mission exist in other countries. It is important for the EP to come on the ground and not only see things from Brussels. For us it is very important to be here today, to meet those people we have been talking to for two years now but in a remote way, or to meet people we had not have the chance to meet for the moment.</p>
