Following the sharp deterioration of women’s rights in Afghanistan, MEPs and EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep BORRELL FONTELLES assess the situation in the country. The Taliban recently announced that they would not allow girls above the 6th grade to attend school until further notice, thereby backtracking on earlier promises to grant women above a certain age access to education.
