Ahead of each new rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union (every 6 months), the ministers of the holding country present their priorities in a series of meetings with parliamentary committees related to their political area. On January 2023, the committees of FEMM (Women’s Rights and Gender Equality), REGI (Regional Development) and DEVE (Development) welcomed the Sweden's ministers, including Paulina Brandberg, Minister for Gender Equality and Deputy Minister for Employment, Peter Kullgren, Minister for Rural Affairs, Johan Forssel, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade.

Ahead of each new rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union (every 6 months), the ministers of the holding country present their priorities in a series of meetings with parliamentary committees related to their political area. On Tuesday 12 July 2022, the committees of ENVI (Environnment, Public Health and Food Safety), FEMM (Women's Rights and Gender Equality), TRAN (Transport and Tourism) and REGI (Regional Development) welcomed the Czech's ministers, including Vlastimil VÁLEK, Minister of Health, Marian JUREČKA, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Martin KUPKA, Minister of Transport and Ivan BARTOŠ, Minister for Digitisation and Regional Development.

MEPs outline their expectations for the 23-24 June European Council and will discuss whether Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia should be granted EU candidate status. On 8th March, European Commission put forward a proposal for Cohesion's Action for Refugees in Europe (CARE). It introduces changes to current cohesion policy rules to allow a swift reallocation of available funding to help Member States to provide emergency support (temporary accommodation, food and water supplies, medical care or education) to people fleeing from Russian aggression in Ukraine.
