Eirodeputāti aicināja nodrošināt vairāk atklātības par Covid-19 vakcīnu ieviešanu. Viņi arī piedāvāja likumu, kas Eiropas darba ņēmējiem nodrošinātu tiesības atslēgties, un vēlas, lai piekļuve adekvātai mājvietai tiktu uzskatīta par vienu no pamattiesībām. Attiecībā uz ārvalstu politiku deputāti atzinīgi novērtēja jaunas ēras sākumu ES un ASV attiecībās, ņemot vērā Džo Baidena inaugurāciju, un aicināja paplašināt sankcijas pret Krievijas amatpersonām, kuras ir saistītas ar Alekseja Navaļnija ieslodzīšanu.

Eiropai uzsākot vēsturiski lielāko masveida vakcināciju, Parlaments uzsver nepieciešamību pēc solidaritātes un vienotības. Eirodeputāti aicina Eiropas Komisiju kliedēt neskaidrības ar atklātāku informāciju par Covid-19 vakcīnām.

Eirodeputāti pieprasa labāku pārredzamību attiecībā uz Covid-19 vakcīnām

Vaccinations against COVID-19 started across the EU on December 27 2020. The European Commission has given conditional marketing authorisation for two COVID-19 vaccines, one developed by BioNTech and Pfizer and one by Moderna Biotech Spain, S.L. after the European Medicines Agency (EMA) concluded its assessments of these vaccines. This infoclip shows the vaccination campaign for medical staff in an hospital of Strasbourg (France): preparation of vaccine doses and vaccination sessions.

During the meeting of the EP Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI), in Brussels, MEPs exchange of views with the Commission on the issue of vaccines in the EU with Sandra GALLINA, EU's lead negotiator on COVID-19 vaccines contracts. The meeting is chaired by Pascal CANFIN (RE, FR).

Members from the EP Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) participate in an exchange of views with Sandra GALLINA, EU’s lead negotiator on COVID-19 vaccines contracts, in the European Parliament in Brussels. The exchange of views is followed by a Q&A session, where MEPs quiz her on issues such as the EU’s procedure to approve the vaccines, what stage of the review process various vaccines have reached as well as the quantities bought by the EU.
