SOUNDBITE (French), Camille GIRARD, French Citizen, Camille is my name. I'm a secondary school student. and I'm the youngest panellist here. I have this crosscutting set of issues that are close to my heart when it comes to bringing together Europeans. The three subjects were taken up in the different working groups that we talked about, giving more power to young people to expand on the possibilities for Europeans and to give Europeans a decent life, the ability to live happily and to exercise their political rights, giving more power to young people. Young people want to be more involved in participative, participatory democracy, to be more responsible.

And you have spoken by delivering forty nine consensual proposals. We have heard you. This is our homework now, we must deliver, we must keep you informed on this. Our promise to you is to follow up on these proposals.

SOUNDBITE (English), Guy VERHOFSTADT (Renew, BE), co-Chair of the CoFoE, I have to tell you that it was not always an easy ride, if I may say so, because it was the first time that the three institutions together have organised such a conference in the past. The last convention I remember that was prime minister at that time when we launched the convention was an initiative by the council where the other institutions were invited. This time it was a conference organised by the three institutions were as equals. We invited the citizens and the social partners and the civil society to participate.
