Are mobile telephones  more dangerous than we think?

In October, it ruled  that intensive use of a cell phone

contributed to this man, Innocente  Marcolini, developing a brain tumour.

He was spending five to six hours  a day on his mobile at work.

MEPs want the Commission  to warn EU consumers.

Insurers don't want to insure  against risks linked to mobiles.

So, be watchful, be well informed.  You are the actors.

not ones that are going  to incur the risks of intensive mobile use.

Europe is taking new steps to combat  rampant youth unemployment.

One in five young people looking  for jobs can't find any.

As part of a new package of measures  to get school leavers into the workplace,

the European Commission  wants EU nations to guarantee

that people under 25 receive  a quality job offer or training

once they leave school  or are out of work.

But in an economic crisis, it's unclear  whether countries would adopt it.

The proposal as such is the right thing,  if it would be implemented.

But I see resistance  against implementation,

and of course it'd be implemented more if  it were a real European guarantee scheme.

The EU is close to setting up  an online platform

where consumers and sellers  can settle disputes

Barely one in ten Europeans  buys products abroad online

due to fears that guarantees  won't be respected

The new system  could be approved by Christmas.

It will help keep people out of the courts  and could save more than €20 billion a year.

Court is always an unpleasant experience.

So we want to give a chance to the clients,  consumers and businesses to avoid it.
