During the EP plenary session (13 - 16 March 2017) in Strasbourg, MEPs vote on the Commission's approval of Germany's revised plan to introduce a road toll (debate 15/02/2017). The results are: 691 voters, 510 in favour, 126 against, 55 abstentions.

This infoclip illustrates a toll system. The electronic toll system aims to eliminate the delay on toll roads by collecting tolls electronically. This system determines whether the cars passing are enrolled in the program, alerts enforcers for those that are not, and electronically debits the accounts of registered car owners without requiring them to stop.
