Lufthansa Group takes its own initiative related to the European elections 2024 and enlarges the scope of the action taken in 2019 elections campaign involving one plane. The ‘Yes to Europe’ campaign features four aircraft, one each from Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, and Eurowings, branded with the campaign’s name on the side of the fuselage. To see Lufthansa airlines, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines coming together to say yes to Europe.

But for this to be effective, everybody must get on board. And this amazing campaign which will be visible far and wide on these four airlines of the Lufthansa group is a powerful sign by one of Europe's largest companies of the responsibility that private companies have- to support European democracy.

SOUNDBITE (English), Alexander DE CROO, Belgian Prime Minister, If I check with my two sons, I have a son of 12 years old and 15 years old, and if I ask them: What's your home country? Very often they would say it's European Union. Yes, we are Belgians, but their home country is European Union. And that is such an amazing step forward. If I ask them: Where would you want to study after your secondary school? When I was thinking about this 25 year ago, I was thinking about Belgian university. So, when I asked them, they really look at the whole of Europe. And we can only be proud of what we 27, what we have built.

SOUNDBITE (English), Alexander DE CROO, Belgian Prime Minister, I hear sometimes people say: Well, why should we go to vote, is it that important? And everytime I'll tell them: Look, don't forget that our parents and grandparent fought for this. They fought for this possibility to vote. You have hundreds of millions in the world of people who would give everything to have the occasion to vote. So, use your voice, but also understand that the democracy is not always an easy thing. Democracy is not only the voice of the majority. But democracy really is powerful on, is the majority taking into account the voice of the minority.
