The very rapid increase in jobs is taking place, in this sector and that is why it is important for women and girls to have access to these skills. That is why we should support electronic literacy.

SOUNDBITE (Spanish), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, A report by the Commission shows that fair participation by women in information communication and technology would contribute 9 billion Euros to the EU&rsquo;s economy every year. I repeat, 9 billion Euros per year.

SOUNDBITE (Spanish), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, Our request is that the Digital Single Market strategy will improve gender equality and stimulate education and training for women and girls. It should also provide better mechanisms against harassment in the media and online. Also, better prospects should be provided and directed especially to women entrepreneurs in the digital spheres.

There are many cases of young people and young entrepreneurs, women and men, who don&acute;t even know the advantages provided by trade agreements. These advantages need to be better known for women to have access to them.
