4th Joint Parliamentary meeting on the future of Europe - Members of the national parliaments and of the European Parliament meet at the European Parliament in Brussels on 3 and 4 December 2007, for the fourth time, to discuss the future of Europe. This conference will give citizens' national and European representatives an opportunity to discuss key issues of concern to them. The issues to be addressed during the meeting, in working parties and in plenary, will include: enhancing the role of Parliaments in the EU, wider responsibility for national Parliaments, ratification and implementation of the Lisbon Treaty and the new institutional set-up: more efficiency and coherence
