But remember, Europol  can only function properly

The key issue here is interconnectivity.

Europol is in a unique position to deliver a  framework

for more efficient information sharing due to  the multiple relevant databases we have.

MEPs and Member States are currently  negotiating a new framework for Europol.

the Member States will have much greater  capacities to interconnect with Europol.

to meet the obligations set out  in Annex 1 of the regulation,

starting with terrorism and ending  at Annex 30 with the word genocide.

The Parliament is asking for  greater supervisory powers
