Roberta METSOLA, EP President meets with Margot FRIEDLÄNDER, German Holocaust survivor

Ahead of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day that will be commemorated on Thursday 27th of Junary in the European Parliament, Roberta METSOLA, EP President, meets with Margot FRIEDLÄNDER, who survived the Holocaust. In 1943, her mother and brother were deported to Auschwitz, where they were both murdered. At the age of 21 Margot FRIEDLÄNDER went into hiding, but was tracked down in 1944 and deported to the concentration camp Theresienstadt. She was the only member of her family to survive.
