SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, Dear colleagues, only two days ago we heard about terrible events in Morocco, where a terrible earthquake killed thousands and injured many more. The images are horrific with so many injured and homeless people. I spoke to the Moroccan leader to express deepest solidarity, solidarity and this indescribable tragedy has led to Europe being ready, standing ready here in the Parliament to provide assistance and we pay tribute to all the people of Morocco who are facing such a difficult and tragic period.
