SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, If you are 16, you are studying. Do you have teachers who tell you what it means to be an EU national? Laws that will come into force and Croatia will come from the European Parliament. Why not vote? Why shouldn't a 16 year old be able to find a candidate or actually, even more importantly, stand up and say, I want to run. I want to be a candidate. It's not easy, but it's possible. And you have some pretty awesome MEPs from Croatia. And I think, you know, I will finish this answer: how many of you would like to be candidates?

SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, How do you involve young people? You know, when I was young, I used to hate it when you would have some old politician basically me now telling us: "Ah, you are the future. You are the future". I say: "Hello, we are here. We are not the future. We are the present". And therefore, if you're going to take a decision, take us into account by involving us. Nothing about young people without young people.

SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, We have to say what we've done and how that has mattered for the European citizens and how, if you have a file, I have Susanna Glavak in front of me and I worked on some of the most important pieces of legislation, that if a Croatian MEP has done it, then you say it's and you proud of it and you tell your friends and you say, "Look, this only what mattered and was only possible because of the EU".
