SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, I'm here in Czech Republic to be able to discuss with you where we are. What we've done so far, how good we've been in certain matters. Some things we could have done better. Some things are not perfect. And the next five years will be crucial. And that you have a possibility, I would say even a responsibility, to choose where Europe and the Czech Republic will go in the next five years.

SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, First of all, get to know your candidates. If you don't know your candidates, you might not like what you see. If you know your candidates, you will be able to say, look, you promised me this when you came and asked me for your vote. It is now five years later. What have you done since? And to the person who said, I'm very happy with where I am and I don't need to vote. I would say that there are more people in this world who cannot choose their leaders because they live in dictatorships or in autocracy. Then there are people who can choose their leaders. So why give up on that fundamental right, duty, but also responsibility.

SOUNDBITE (English), Roberta METSOLA, EP President, I have met with young people in Ukraine. I have actually done a similar townhall in Lviv with President Zelensky, and I have addressed, tens of thousands of young people in Moldova. One hope, one dream: to be able to vote in the European Parliament elections by being citizens of the European Union. That is what those countries are aiming at. And our responsibility is that when somebody knocks on our door, that door is flung wide open.
