The partnership aims to deepen the cooperation between the institutions to promote European elections, boost voters turnout – especially among non-voters and first-time voters and counter information manipulation. Among other measures, the institutions agreed to enhance synergies in media relations, coordinate organization of events, such as Open Doors Day or the Civil Society Week, and share information on "together.eu" and "What Europe does for me" platforms.

I am very glad we signed today a memorandum of understanding with the European Parliament President, so as to cooperate and be able to explain to European citizens what the EU does for them and what the European Investment Bank Group contributes by investing in our future.</p>

First, in the run up of the, European elections, to have local and regional authorities mobilize, to make people vote, to have people voting for these elections, for the democracy in the in Europe. The second is two institutions that are grounded in, democratic legitimacy are very important to cooperate. And also because much of the policies of the European Union go through in their implementation through local and regional authorities. So very happy for the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Committee of the regions and the European Parliament.</p>
