MEPs debate on an initiative to protecting and strengthening the ban on animal testing, transforming the EU Chemicals Regulation and making a transition to non-animal science. Nearly 1.5 million people signed the European Citizens’ Initiative “Save Cruelty Free Cosmetics - Commit to a Europe without animal testing” in one year. A public hearing in the Environment, Agricultural and Petitions committees was held on 25 May.
