In the first session of the newly elected Parliament, MEPs get down to the business of choosing the new Parliament president, vice-presidents and quaestors and establishing the parliamentary committees. MEPs will also debate on the outcome of the June 2019 EU Summits.

There's plenty on the agenda in the first session of Parliament,

ahead of the inaugural sitting on July 2.

The vote is by secret ballot in up to four rounds.

The 14 vice-presidents, who replace the president when absent

will also be chosen, along with the five quaestors,

responsible for administrative matters affecting members.

MEPs will form the parliamentary committees.

in areas ranging from transport to consumer protection.

MEPs will debate the outcome of the June 2019 summits

and discuss EU leaders' proposals for the EU's top jobs,

including the post of European Commission President.
