The Informal Meeting of Heads of State or Government takes place in Cyprus on 23–24 April 2026, bringing together the members of the European Council.

The European Council is composed of the Heads of State or Government of the 27 EU Member States, the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for EU leaders to engage in an open exchange of views on current political developments and issues of strategic importance for the European Union, in the context of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU.
