Auf der Stelle gehen die Besatzer rücksichtslos gegen die Einwohner vor. Sie verhaften und morden wahllos. Am brutalsten tritt die Besatzungsmacht im Jahr 1943 auf, nachdem sie Mitglieder des Widerstands in Moschin aufgespürt hat. Zu den Verfolgten zählt auch die Familie Jeżewicz.
