This will be done in full respect of competences and subsidiarity and proportionate the principles enshrined in the European treaties. The Commission welcomes the ambitious and Forward-Looking direction in which citizens are aiming at the EU. These proposals deserve a clear feedback. Many excellent ideas can be accommodated through either existing initiatives or proposals under discussion

The outcome of the conference. There isn't agreement right across the board on all points, but we have a major consensus and I think this is a huge success which has been achieved by this conference
