Klimatet stod också på dagordningen: Parlamentsledamöterna godkände Fonden för en rättvis omställning för att hjälpa regioner under den gröna omställningen, och uppmanade EU att göra mer för att skydda miljöaktivister. Parlamentet upprepar sin uppmaning om gränsfri tillgång till växtförädlingsmaterial. Parlamentsledamöter vill säkerställa att lantbrukare i hela EU kan förnya för att hitta lösningar på klimatkrisen och nya växtsjukdomar. Rika multinationella företag ska inte tillåtas att ta patent på naturligt liv, genom att skapa monopol och driva upp livsmedelspriser.
