Valéry Giscard d'Estaing (2 February 1926 - 2 December 2020) was a French politician and President of France from 1974 to 1981. He served as a member of the European Parliament from 1989 to 1993, being a Member of the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party Group. He was also President of the European Convention from 2002 to 2003.
