SOUNDBITE by &Aacute;ngel L&oacute;pez Rodr&iacute;guez, Electric Vehicles Programme Manager at the Municipality of Barcelona, (in SPANISH) saying: one of the main goals of electric mobility is to make it general, make it universal; creating small islands of electric mobility makes sense in a first stage, but it is necessary to have interoperability between our system and other cities, located near and not so near; it was clear that sharing the experience we have had in our projects, developing new projects with a vision coherent with that of other cities, was a step towards the future; it was necessary in order to develop our mobility projects, and make it coherent with other cities' projects, in the rest of Europe.

SOUNDBITE by Narc&iacute;s Vidal Tejedor, in charge of Research, Technology Development and Innovation at Endesa, (in ENGLISH): we have studied a lot of topics in that project; we have studied, for example, the smart grid topic, we have studied how we can manage the energy for charging the cars, we have studied the impact of these electric vehicles in the grid; all that knowledge is basic for the roll-out of new solutions for the charging in other cities, in other companies; so thanks to Green E-motion, we are gathering a lot of knowledge and we can roll out easily the solutions we have implemented in the project.

SOUNDBITE by Narc&iacute;s Vidal Tejedor (in ENGLISH): one of the main objectives of Green E-motion is to be able to move easily around Europe; so we have developed the interfaces and the system for allowing a user to move, for example from Barcelona to Paris then from Paris to Rome, using the same identification technology; in that case the user can charge around Europe with the same contract and at the end of the month the user will get the bill with all the charging ibans he has done during his trip.
