They aim to protect posted workers better and to establish a level playing field for companies. Minimum salary, all the bonus added to this minimum salary for the national workers will have to be also available for the detached worker. So there will be no more difference anymore. Equal work equal pay, and we will arrive to that.

That means that the sandwich of the Hungarian posted worker in France will not be calculated up to the price of a sandwich in Hungary, but to the price of the sandwich in France. We have to be very strict on that. For us that means to countdown the social dumping trough out Europe and to cut of unfair competition between companies.

SOUNDBITE (English), Agnes JONGERIUS (S&amp;D, NL), rapporteur, For everyone who is trying to play by the rules, so also for those companies who want to do their business on just straight and fair deals, this deals also helping them. So we are stopping unfair competition, we are stopping social dumping and we, from day one of the posting guarantee that workers who are our colleagues are treated equally.

SOUNDBITE (Dutch), Agnes JONGERIUS (S&amp;D, NL), rapporteur, If this would mean that for instance companies from my country, the Netherland, would just open up a letter box in, for instance, Romania for misuse of Romanian workers, if they from this directive are stopped in this unfair competition I am also happy, because I think we want a Europe which protect the workers but also protect those companies who play by the rules.
