SOUNDBITE (Italian), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, I believe that the code of conduct for non-governmental organizations is a positive choice thanks to the rules. We can't give rise to the doubt that through non-governmental organizations, somebody tries to favor illegal immigration. So, to overcome this doubt, there are rules and they must be respected. The rules are : we need to save at sea all the people who need to be rescued, but at the same time, we must prevent non-governmental organizations making moves that push migrants to come to Europe, violating Libyan territorial waters, indirectly favoring organizations of traffickers of human being. These persons must be hit hard, force must be used, not violence but force must be used by Europe and by those who work on behalf of Europe to overthrow this unjustified trafficking in human being.

They are trying to infiltrate foreign fighters who can return to Europe disguised or hidden by migrants. That's why I have asked Frontex and the Italian authorities to carry out very strictly, to check the identity of those arriving in Italy and in Europe. It's better to have an over control to defend human lives, than less control causing laxity. I believe that at this moment, European authorities againts the vilence of ISIS must use the force of democracy and freedom.
