After 11 years of being one of the regular stops on the annual tour of the LUX Film Prize, the 77th Venice International Film Festival hosted in September 2020 the official announcement of the new format of the award, which from now on will become and Audience award presented jointly by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy, in partnership with the European Commission and Europa Cinemas.
