Members of the Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) jointly with the Members of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) and in association with the Delegation for relations with Belarus and the Delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly launches a novel platform to fight against impunity in Belarus. Today they are still subjected to violence coming from the Lukashenko regime and therefore it is important for us on this day,  after the commemoration of Independence Day. It is important to be able to give support to these pro-democracy movements. So how are we going to operate in this platform? Well, it is to bring together a certain number of experts to fight against the issue of impunity, because indeed, there are incarcerations, violence and crimes committed today in Belarus. And it is important to be able to collect all this information with a number of experts on how to collect in order to be able to bring cases into Court, if necessary, so that impunity does not reign in this country. . The perpetrators of violence and crimes must be punished in a country such as Belarus and it is within this framework that we will work in the platform.
