SOUNDBITE (Polish), Jerzy Karol BUZEK, EP President, I like to say that I was delighted that Liu Xiaobo was awarded the Nobel Peace Price. He has fought peacefully for freedom of speech in China and is still in prison. I welcome the improving political, economical and social standards in China. We appreciate what China has done, but we call on China to do more and to release Hu Jia and Liu Xiaobo, as well other defenders of Human Rights. The EP stands along side those who defend Human Rights. (applause)

SOUNDBITE (Polish), Jerzy Karol BUZEK, EP President, Today for the 4th time we are commemorating the European Day against Human Trafficking, that is a day introduced by the last EP. We are currently looking at a directive designed to eradicate Human Trafficking.
