The COP 23 Conference on Climate Change, chaired by the Fiji, is held in Bonn, Germany from 6-17 November 2017.
The program focuses on the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
During the plenary session in Strasbourg, MEPs debate the long-term reduction targets of greenhouse gas emissions with the Council and Commission, andto adopt a resolution on Wednesday.
In line with the European Parliament's commitment to the international climate process, a delegation of 12 MEPs headed by Ms Adina Vãlean, the Chair of the Environment Committee, will be attending the Bonn summit from 14-18 November.

MEPs debate a resolution to set out recommendations to EU institutions and countries for the November COP23 meeting in Bonn. MEPs call on EU leaders to give effect to the agreement in EU law, ratchet up the EU’s climate protection goals and upgrade its environment policy instruments.
