During the plenary session (11-13/11/2020) of the European Parliament in Brussels, MEPs vote on the EU and China agreement to mutually protect over 200 products with geographical indications. These include Cava, Champagne, Feta, Irish whiskey, Münchener Bier, Ouzo, Polska Wódka, Porto, Prosciutto di Parma and Queso Manchego. The Parliament consent is required for the agreement to enter into force.

<p>Announcement of the vote on the Winkler report on an Agreement between the European Union and the government of the People's Republic of China. Parliament consented to the agreement by 645 votes, with 22 against and 18 abstentions and also adopted a resolution on the agreement by 633 votes, with 13 against and 39 abstentions.</p>
