SOUNDBITE (English), Norbert LINS (EPP, DE), AGRI Chair, This reform will be a real challenge for the farmers in the European Union because a lot of new elements are in and the citizens, the consumers in the European Union, can benefit from a more greener and fairer CAP and this is also a good message for the European taxpayer

SOUNDBITE (English), Norbert LINS (EPP, DE), AGRI Chair, There are three main important things for the Parliament. The first one is a redistribution scheme, which is mandatory for all the member states, the second is an eco scheme system which works from 2023 on, from the first day on, which is fit for purpose. And the third thing is the social dimension. We want to have a social dimension scheme within the new Common Agricultural Policy.

SOUNDBITE (English), Norbert LINS (EPP, DE), AGRI Chair, We have to fund, the budget which was decided by the European Council and the European Parliament, last December and now we have to decide in which elements we provide the money. And we as the European Parliament, we are the most ambitious institution when it comes to a greener and fairer common agricultural policy.
