"Generators of Hope" - Donation of a generator to Ukraine by the European Parliament (with Euro Cities) in the presence of Roberta METSOLA, EP President, Annelies VERLINDEN, Belgian Minister of Interior and Christos DOULKERIDIS, Mayor of Ixelles

Roberta METSOLA, EP President, with Annelies VERLINDEN, Belgian Minister of Interior and Christos DOULKERIDIS, Mayor of Ixelles, donate the first generator to the Ukrainian people. As a result of Russia's war against Ukraine and its continuing attacks on critical civilian infrastructure, which violate international and humanitarian law, more than half of Ukraine´s electricity network has been damaged or destroyed, leaving millions of Ukrainians without electricity. To provide Ukraine with power generators, EP President Metsola and Dario Nardella, Mayor of Florence and President of Eurocities, launched the “Generators of Hope” campaign on the 23rd of November.
