Draft general budget of the European Union for 2020: extracts from the vote

SOUNDBITE (English), Kimmo TIILIKAINEN , Finland State Secretary, EU Presidency , <p>The EP has just adopted amendments to the Council position on the draft budget for the financial year 2020. I take note on the differences in the positions between the two institutions concerning the draft budget for 2020 presented by the Commission. Consequently, in my capacity of president of the Council, I agree that the President of the EP convenes the conciliation committee as required in point C of paragraph 4 of article 314 of the Treaty on the functioning of the EU.</p>
