SOUNDBITE (Italian), David SASSOLI, EP President, Dear colleagues, good morning and today we are remembering the memories of the exodus of the Istrian-Dalmatian population in the Second World War, the events force us to remember their suffering, defending the values of peace, of justice, freedom. We must honour the victims of that tragedy. A political response to the persecution is necessary. But it once was one of the fundamental driving forces of the integration, a force of democratic forces and dear colleagues, can I ask you to observe one minute of silence?
