SOUNDBITE (Italian), David SASSOLI, EP President, Today is the anniversary of the tragic event in Bataclan. This is a story that belong to us and that we all lived together. Our thoughts are for the 130 victims who lost their life that night and to their families. The threat to our values can can also come from outside. We have to face every day to interferences trying to damage in different ways our achievements and the security of European citizens. We have to be united to respond to these attacks, to strengthen our union, to protect our borders.

SOUNDBITE (Italian), David SASSOLI, EP President, We have to fight these threats with determination and unity to fulfil the promises of the night of Berlin's wall fall. We can win this battle only if we stay together; And we have to do everything we can to opposite to those who misinterpret history, give simple solutions to complex problems and confuse the legitimate pride of every of us to his own country and culture with hate and disregard toward others.
