MEPs look back at a year marked by Russia’s assault on Ukraine and set out what the EU must do in support of Kyiv. Russia began its full-scale military invasion of neighbouring Ukraine on 24 February 2022. Since then, the EU and its international allies have rallied firmly behind the Kyiv government. This support has resulted in unprecedented levels of financial aid, assistance, weapons deliveries to Ukraine, sweeping sanctions against Moscow, and the granting of EU candidate status to Ukraine and Moldova.
