With such characteristics we could see the value of the Cigem implementation as a very positive one.

The country can be hit as well by a limitation of the existing possibilities to have access to the legal labour market in Europe.

SOUNDBITE (English), Tanja FAJON (S&amp;D, SI), Cigem is basically trying to focus to offer to people as much as possible information when they decide to leave the country, to find out what are their  possible skills or what kind of jobs they could find in Europe. I think it is really important to get the knowledge what immigration is.

SOUNDBITE (French), Tanja FAJON (S&amp;D, SI), A critical point that Cigem is only working especially in Bamako, but this is the city centre which has already some information, so Cigem has to decentralise their work to the more poor and rural areas of the country.

SOUNDBITE (French), Tanja FAJON (S&amp;D, SI), It is necessary to establish really good connections with the Mali Diaspora and to try to bring them together with local businessmen,  to really find a way how they can cooperate and how they could bring money into the country to improve the development of Mali.
