SOUNDBITE (English), Jerzy Karol BUZEK, EP President, We must recover from the lack of trust; it means some very difficult homework is necessary, especially with our national budgets, cutting down expenditure. It&rsquo;s not easy I know very well from my own experience ten years ago with budgetary and fiscal reforms. In time of crisis we need to do the right thing, not just the convenient thing. We should always remember that with solidarity comes responsibility.

SOUNDBITE (English), Jerzy Karol BUZEK, EP President, We should involve all 27 member states, this is very important, because problems with euro also affect other European currencies: pound, zloty, forint and others.

SOUNDBITE (English), Jerzy Karol BUZEK, EP President, European Parliament is saying that maybe the strategy is not ambitious enough today and maybe some details should be taken later. The most important message from the EP is the coordination and the community method.

SOUNDBITE (English), Jerzy Karol BUZEK, EP President, I expect that it will be more community method in such important activities like economic governance and Europe 2020 strategy. We need community coordination; we need to involve the European Union and to give responsibility to the EU.

SOUNDBITE (English), Jerzy Karol BUZEK, EP President, Next important point is to connect our European budget with 2020 strategy and all the decisions about economic governance like Stability and Growth Pact. Because the European budget is our instrument to give sustainable growth to Europe in the next years. We need not only recovery from today&rsquo;s problems; today&rsquo;s problem is mainly lack of trust, but we need an exit strategy for the future and that&rsquo;s 2020.
