SOUNDBITE (Spanish), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, It is for mea great honour to receive the Charles V European Award. I dedicate it to all European citizens, the real protagonists of the EU's efforts to achieve peace, freedom and prosperity. This Prize is a window from Spain towards Europe and the world. It reminds us of the deep European identity of Spanish society and its open spirit. Spain is a great European country which has always contributed to the EU's development with enthusiasm. As President of the EP, this Prize encourages me to keep working for the benefit of all citizens, so this great dream of peace, concorde and wellness will remain as the guarantee of a better future.
