SOUNDBITE (Italian), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, <p>It is a matter of protect our animal population, our marine resources and to avoid that there is an irrecoverable environmental damage. That is why we, we are the house of European people, we are supporting and sustaining every action that goes in this direction. Therefore circular economy and some decisions taken by the European Parliament, that will abolish plastic glasses and bottles, from the next parliamentary term we will have biologically degradable materials.</p>

SOUNDBITE (French), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, The European Parliament will vote in the Environmental Commission a very strong text on this issue tomorrow. We also decided to stop plastic, we will not have plastic bottles and glasses anymore in the European Parliament. It is a strong message and something very concrete we are doing in response to the citizens that ask us to defend marine environment.
