Liv Johanne Ullmann (born 16 December 1938) is a Norwegian actress and film director. She was one of the "muses" of Swedish director Ingmar Bergman.

She received one Golden Globe and nominations for the BAFTA, the Oscars and the Palme d'Or.

She is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and has traveled widely for the organization. She is also co-founder and honorary chair of the International Rescue Committee's Women's Refugee Commission. In 2005, King Harald V of Norway made Ullmann a Commander with Star of the Order of St. Olav. In 2006, she received an honorary degree, dr. philos. honoris causa, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.over the world. Barbara supports fundraising and is an advocate for refugees all around the world.

Liv Johanne Ullmann is one of the eight women highlighted at the occasion of the International Women’s Day (IWD) which is held every year on 8 March.
