Infoclip: The brave People of Ukraine, 2022 Sakharov Prize laureate

This infoclip is filmed in the region of Kyiv, in Ukraine, and shows areas bombed by the Russian army, the sudden humanitarian support given by local NGOs and civil society and the official visit of Roberta METSOLA, EP President, to Kyiv. Each year, the European Parliament awards the Sakharov Prize to honour exceptional individuals and organisations defending human rights and fundamental freedoms. The brave People of Ukraine, represented by their President Volodymyr ZELENSKYY, elected leaders, and civil society were nominated as winners for the Sacharov Prize 2022 jointly by EPP, S&D and Renew Europe.
