We will explain to our citizens what we are doing for them and why we must vote in the month of May for the new European Parliament. There will be a change of course, but we have to go and vote. The citizens must choose. This is why the Economic and Social Committee and the EP are strongly committed, because we must explain to citizens, trying to shorten the distance between institutions and citizens. We will have to send a message of change to Europe. We are waiting for the decision of our fellow citizens by trying to do the best we can.

Yes it's time to raise our voices against all these fake news of the populists who work on fear and the demands of our fellow citizens , proposing simple solutions to complex problems. We must defend what we have built in those years. We must also make a commitment to improve what could be improved. But above all it is necessary to repeat loudly and clearly that Europe is a win - win message. 

It's a construction project it's a project for the future and it's hope. Europe remains today the best place to live and work, where to start a family and start a business where to study and get treatment and where to be guaranteed when one goes bankrupt , or when one is seriously ill in the terminal part of his life. Europe remains today the best presents we can leave to our children. We will have to engage in a stronger way to speak and not give way to those who simply want to destroy. We have to preserve all that is there, to preserve what we have acquired and to improve it.
