This is the cause to which I want to devote my life." Those are your words. At 16 you're a young woman who fights for knowledge and we can say that you're already a global icon, in terms of the fight for rights to education. You're a symbol of resistance to fanaticism."

And you answered : nothing in particular, I didnt do differently compared to other fathers. You didn't lock her away and gave her the freedom, the freedom that young people need. And you said, I quote : "I didn't clip her wings. Let her fly ! As far as I'm concern, let her fly from me to the stars. Those are remarkable words from a remarkable man. (applauses) Malala I am sure you are as proud of your father as he is proud of you,."

Let us change the ideology of being powerful, the powerful countries shall not be judged by counting their soldiers and navy, but rather we must see which country has the higher literacy rate, which country has more educated people, which country has provided their basic rights to citizens."
